It is safe to say LeBron James has become a Christmas Day games staple as well. During his 19-year career so far, James has played in 16 straight Christmas Day games, treating the fans to some spectacular performances. Kobe Bryant was the all-time leading scorer for Christmas Day games with 395 points in 16 games. Last year, in his 16th game, James required just 12 points to break the record. And he did that during the second quarter.

Furthermore, he also tied Bryant for most Christmas Day games with 16 games last year. So this year, when James faces Luka Doncic and the Mavericks, he would break that record as well according to reports from USA TODAY.

James recently passed another Lakers legend Magic Johnson for the 6th place on NBA’s career assists list. He is also getting closer to becoming the league’s all-time leading scorer. Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the record with a mindboggling 38,387 points.
