Stephen Curry has his own moves to punctuate his scores. Curry’s moves have been absorbed by the sports world, so much so that players across sports have started imitating him.

A player that emulated his victory dance recently was National Women’s Soccer League MVP, Sophia Smith. To talk about her achievements arguably doesn’t do her justice. As she scored the opening goal of the night in the league’s championship game against the Kansas City Current, the Portland Thorns star shrugged her shoulders and smiled in typical ‘Curry’ fashion.

Smith pulls off a Stephen Curry

Smith has been consistently good in each game, and it showed with a 2-0 win to seal the title. The Thorns went on to win their third championship title, the most for any team in the league.

Sophia Smith was also named and awarded MVP. She now holds the record of being the youngest MVP in the league.

Golden State Warriors Stephen Curry has also been named MVP (twice) and has won five championships to date. His celebratory moves have been both subtle and iconic.

Who can forget his iconic ‘night, night‘ celebration? After scoring a goal against the Denver Nuggets, Curry made a gesture that it was time to go to sleep as he finished off the game.
