Jordan Poole has quickly risen up the ranks to become a key member of the Golden State Warriors. Moreover, his performances have earned him praise all around, with people referring to him as the ‘third splash brother.’

Although he might be the next splash brother alongside Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, neither of them are his idols.

Poole’s idol is Kevon Looney. Jordan has a special reason behind choosing his idol. Looney and Poole belong to the same city and the latter has always looked up to Kevon as his idol.

One of the surprises this season has been Jordan Poole. The youngster has stepped up whenever the team needed his services and his playoff performances have been impeccable.

Alongside Poole, Kevon Looney has been a key role player for the Dubs. Although the Milwaukee Bucks might have not made it to the Finals, Poole and Looney are making sure the city is adequately represented.

They both grew up in the city and attended different universities. Finally, they were united when the Warriors drafted Poole in 2019. Despite their four-year age difference, the two are good friends with Jordan Poole looking up to Looney as his idol.

Looney and Poole will be key to unlocking the Boston Celtics‘ defense during the NBA Finals. Poole averages 17.8 points, 4.3 assists, and 3.1 rebounds playing in his first-ever NBA playoffs.

On the other hand, Looney has experienced the pressure of playing in the playoffs before. He was part of the Warriors’ playoff runs in 2017-18, 18-19, and 21-22. He averages 6.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists this season in the playoffs.
