After trading for Rui Hachimura earlier this month, the Los Angeles Lakers parted ways with two of their point guards. Russell Westbrook and Patrick Beverley were traded away to the Utah Jazz and the Orlando Magic respectively. Both point guards had their pros and cons but the Lakers arguably got a great deal in return, as they even got a former Laker back in return. However, after being blindsided ahead of the trade deadline, Patrick Beverley bid farewell to Laker Nation.?
Beverley supposedly had no idea that a trade was in the works that would send him to the Magic. Russell Westbrook was part of a three-team, eight-player trade that brought D?Angelo Russell back to LA.

Patrick Beverley was hyped to be reunited with his former Minnesota Timberwolves teammate. Even sending out a tweet of the two in a Wolves jersey, captioning the image, ?The gang is Back.?
What Beverley was unaware of was he was the next to go after Westbrook. The 34-year-old veteran point guard went to Twitter later to bid farewell to Lakers fans.
Beverley tweeted, ?Thanks for the Love. Was a pleasure 2 represent the Lakers in any type of Way. Thanks Rob, Thanks Coach Ham and Entire Lakers organization for everything. Finish Strong GANG.?

Laker Nation made sure to give Beverley his flowers for his services during his time with the franchise.
One fan tweeted, ?Pat, I was so disappointed to see you traded away from the Lakers. Not nearly enough time with the team, and I wish you had the benefit of the Lakers being a good team with good vibes. Thank you for all you did. Keep on doing all that good work (except when you play the Laker.)??
