Choosing a winner from the top three MVP candidates has been a problem for many analysts this season. Joel Embiid from the Philadelphia 76ers, Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, and Nikola Jokic from the Denver Nuggets have done enough to prove themselves worthy of becoming the first player to win the rebranded Michael Jordan trophy. However, former Phoenix Suns star Charles Barkley seems to have a whole different problem apart from choosing a winner.

Even after several years of domination by the above veterans, it looks like Barkley will need more time to properly enunciate the names of the MVP candidates. A video of the 1993 MVP struggling to pronounce the names of the above stars on national TV has turned him into a laughing stock.

Barkley has been one of the backbones of the ‘Inside the NBA‘ show. His natural way of making people smile has made a huge impact on their viewership. Looks like Chuck is back with another one. Pronouncing the name of the ‘Greek Freak‘ has never been easy for anyone. However, for someone like Barkley, who has been around the NBA for 40 years, it shouldn’t have been a problem.

Following his first mistake, Barkley again mentioned, “Nikola…Jokik” leaving his co-hosts in denial. Ernie Johnson, who was unable to digest the blunders, questioned Chuck, “How long do these guys have to play for you to know their names man?” Fed up with embarrassment, the former Suns star replied, “Hey we are not here for English lessons.”

This can be one of the reasons why Charles Barkley does not want a vote. However, late in the regular season, the Cameroonian center from the Sixers might have got an edge over the others.
