The Los Angeles Lakers went up against the Charlotte Hornets in their latest matchup. The Lakers went into this game, hoping to avoid a three-game losing streak. But with no Anthony Davis in the lineup, the offensive load again fell upon the shoulders of LeBron James. Given that the Hornets are struggling this season too, it seemed like this might turn out to be an even matchup between the two teams.?

LeBron James has been on an absolute tear these past few games. In his 20th year in the league, James is still averaging 27.4 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 6.7 APG on a true shooting percentage of 56.8%.

But apart from Anthony Davis? production, James arguably hasn?t had much help so far. Russell Westbrook has been doing a menial job leading the second bench unit for the team. Other than that, Lonnie Walker IV has increased his point production as well.?

However, it looks like the Lakers? luck has been down in the dumps as another player has gone down with an injury. Lakers? center Thomas Bryant got injured during the fourth quarter of the game and was escorted to the locker room.

A couple of players who had stepped up to the occasion for the Lakers were Dennis Schroder and Thomas Bryant.?

How long can LeBron James keep producing?

James is still averaging the highest number of minutes per game on the squad, and given that he is about to turn 38 in another week or so, it is hard to speculate how long can he manage to exert his body on a nightly basis, without any help on the court to carry the burden.

James usually keeps some fuel in his tank for the playoffs, but the way the Lakers are playing so far, it will be highly unlikely that the Lakers would even qualify for the play-in tournament if things stay the same.?
