The never-ending Russell Westbrook trade saga took some new twists recently. A source on Twitter reported that the former MVP is on his way to the Chicago Bulls. The Los Angeles Lakers traded Westbrook to the Utah Jazz in a three-way deal and the Jazz can buy his contract out. Westbrook joining the Bulls is certainly a possibility. A verified account going by the name of Sami Hassan reported that Westbrook ‘intends’ to join the Bulls.

Fans were quick to question the source’s authenticity. Their claims turned true as the account is a hoax and this fake news has sent the NBA world into a frenzy.

There is a lot of tension within Westbrook’s camp. He never really fit in within the Lakers team and this eventually led to his trade. Although the trade deadline ended days ago, Brodie’s future is still uncertain.

In an already tense atmosphere, a fake trade rumor caused havoc. Sami Hassan, the fake account on Twitter, reported, “Russell Westbrook ‘intends’ to sign with the Chicago Bulls once he’s officially bought out by the Utah Jazz.”

Westbrook revealed a ‘willingness’ to play for a team

The Utah Jazz might be the next step in the 2016-17 NBA  MVP’s career. Contrary to many reports suggesting that Russ is heading out of the Jazz after they buy out his contract, sources from the team recently dropped a bombshell.

According to The Athletic, “Westbrook, who came to the Jazz from the Lakers and has had a Hall of Fame career, has expressed a willingness to stay in Utah and put on a uniform.”
