The Brooklyn Nets’ season is turning from bad to worse. What started with a turbulent off-season, the Nets never seemed to have recovered from that. Their latest debacle was against the Sacramento Kings, where they let the Kings score 153 points. But after Kevin Durant made a brutal confession about his team, NBA Twitter exploded on KD for being “disrespectful”.

The Nets have had one issue or the other since the start of the season. First, it was Ben Simmons, who was having a tough time fitting in with the line-up. Then it was Kyrie Irving, who stirred up a massive controversy which ultimately led to his suspension. And now, it seems like it is Kevin Durant, who has seemingly thrown his entire team under the bus.

After the huge blowout against the Sacramento Kings, Durant went in on the Nets as he made some strong comments about the team and organization. But the one which impacted the most was about the honest reality of the Nets’ line-up.

He said,? “Look at our starting lineup. Edmond Sumner, Royce O?Neale, Joe Harris, [Nic] Claxton, and me. It?s not disrespect, but what are you expecting from that group? You expect us to win because I?m out there…?

NBA fans did not appreciate Durant’s comments on his teammates. They said that he was disrespectful to the team and the organization.

Durant has been the lone bright spot for the Nets lately

The Brooklyn Nets came into the season as one of the favorites. They undoubtedly have a great squad and their stars were coming back with a point to prove. But things have not gone according to plan as the Nets?currently sit in 12th place in the East with a 6-9 record for the season so far. And despite all this turmoil, Kevin Durant has arguably been spectacular, and he is perhaps the only reason that the Nets are even competitive.

KD is averaging 30.3 PPG,6.5 RPG, and 5.3 RPG on 52% shooting from the field. He has scored 26 points or more in each game this season. Fans will be hoping the likes of Ben Simmons can step up to support KD, while Irving’s return from suspension remains up in the air.
