Kevin Durant has been the talking point of the hoops world since he moved to Phoenix Suns in February. However, fans had to wait for his debut with the franchise as he was out due to injury. Moreover, the 34-year-old missed over a month of playing time because of the injury. Durant finally made his return to the court on March 1st. After KD’s return, the Suns started strongly?winning against Charlotte Hornets, and continued their run against the Chicago Bulls and Dallas Mavericks.

The 13x NBA All-Star looked like his usual self in the 3 matches he played since debuting for the Suns. The fans, who have eagerly been waiting for his home debut, might have to wait a bit longer.

The Suns hit with a setback

Before the forward could make his home debut for Phoenix Suns, the 2-time Champion slipped during the pre-game warmup against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. Although he got up after a few seconds and managed to complete his routine, he was ruled out due to soreness in his left ankle. Recently, a video of Durant slipping during the warmup surfaced on the internet.

Phoenix Suns head coach, Monty Williams talked to the reporters regarding Durant’s injury. He said they don’t have anything official to report at the moment, and there will be more tests done for a better understanding of the injury. Williams further added, “He?s out there working his tail off, getting ready for the game and he twists his ankle?. Can?t get frustrated about that. It?s life, you know what I?m saying? I feel bad for him because he feels bad. He feels like ? I saw his face and I?ve been around him so many times. I know what he?s feeling.”

Hoop fans are particularly disturbed by the news, showing their displeasure and frustration on Twitter.

It could be ‘karma’

Due to his sudden move from the Nets, some fans labeled his injury as karma, others claimed that the Suns were struck with the worst injury luck.

The Suns will be relying on Devin Booker to lead until Kevin Durant gets back to play.? However, with the duo in play, the Phoenix side can expect a better season outcome than what they might be looking at in his absence.
