Prior to the NBA Draft, there was a lot of speculation around the highly awaited French basketball prodigy’s height as he didn’t attend the draft combine in May. The lack of an official measurement left fans and professionals in the dark, with reports ranging from 7’2″ to 7’5″. However, most recently, the San Antonio Spurs, confirmed his height of 7 feet, 3 1/2 inches (7’4″ for brevity). According to the team, this is the height of the Frenchman without shoes.
With the 2023-2024 season merely months away, Wembanyama is now the second-tallest player in the league. He comes in second only to Boban Marjanovi of the Los Angeles Clippers who stands at 7 feet, 4 inches. Merely weeks away from his debut for the Summer League, Wemby put forth a request for NBA fans.
Wembanyama was asked a French word he wanted fans to learn. He wants fans to learn to properly pronounce the word ‘Croissant’.
