The NHL Eastern Conference Champion Matthew Tkachuk joined the Inside Guys ahead of the Game 6 tipoff in the Kaseya Center. During the conversation, the show host, Ernie Johnson, surprised Tkachuk with his old high school video also featuring Jayson Tatum. In response to the video, the Panthers star said, “It’s crazy that we were in the same gym class.”

However, in the follow-up question, the NFL star found himself in a tough spot. Considering his friendship with Tatum and his affiliation with the Florida team, Johnson asked which team he would root for in Game 6.

Meanwhile, Tkachuk put himself in the spot when he mentioned both Jimmy Butler and Tatum as his favorite players, but he decided to pull for the Miami Heat considering the fans. However, he later added, “That would make a lot of people in St. Louis mad so I got to keep honest… just root for both of them.”

Despite the debate, both stars provided an exciting game of basketball for their sides.
