Michael Jordan and his legacy in basketball is unmatched. The Basketball legend?s supremacy is hardly questioned by anyone. During a time in the 90s, basketball was synonymous with Michael Jordan. John Salley, the Detroit Pistons legend, shared similar feelings while talking about ?His Airness’ recently. He mentioned how anything great is sampled with Michael Jordan, even the NFL Great Tom Brady. Being the Jordan of anything is a benchmark and Salley reiterated that fact.

In a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe, John Salley recalled his earlier days with MJ and his legacy. He also pointed out the way he has changed the word legacy in the sports world and beyond.
John Salley on Michael Jordan
Salley recently made an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast Club Shay Shay. Amongst other things, the four-time NBA Champion was asked whether Isiah Thomas was the best player he played with. To which Salley agreed, but quickly came on a defensive stance as even he couldn?t deny the greatness of ?His Airness?.
Sharpe mentioned that he has never experienced the environment and aura change as he did with Michael Jordan. The Detroit Pistons legend agreed as he said, ?You know it?s funny too because you base everything upon Michael Jordan, even Tom Brady is based upon Michael Jordan.??
Sharpe added that being called the ?Jordan? of anything was a compliment, meaning that they?re the best at what they do. Meanwhile, Salley highlighted the fact that the legendary status of MJ created ripples in the sports world. Even though nobody?s denying the greatness of Tom Brady and his longevity, no body has embodied the ?GOAT? status like MJ.?

The four-time NBA Champion recalled an incident about Jordan in a nightclub, as the owner cut the music off and turned the lights on to show off MJ in his club. The Pistons legend also hilariously recalled when he made the Bulls legend aware of his ?Messiah? status. He said to Jordan that he was the god that many worshipped and none could meet.
