Super Bowl LVII is officially over and the Kansas City Chiefs are the new NFL champions. After months of anticipation and nail-biting games, Patrick Mahomes and his Chiefs defeated Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 on Sunday night to win their second Super Bowl title in the past four years. Mahomes led his team to victory against the Eagles as he finished with three touchdowns and 182 passing yards. Following the win, both fans and athletes from across the sporting world took to social media to praise Mahomes for his stellar performance.
After losing to the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2022 NFL playoffs, the Chiefs came back stronger than ever. Coincidentally, the Chiefs matched up against the Bengals again in the AFC Conference Championship game. This time, Mahomes turned the tables and helped the Chiefs defeat their opponents to progress to the Super Bowl.

Following an outstanding game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, several NBA athletes extended their congratulatory wishes to the new champions. Considered to be one of the best players in the league today, Mahomes now has two championship titles and two MVP titles in the past four years to add to his long list of accolades. Following the game, the 2x NFL MVP took to the stage and credited his entire team for the win.
As per CBS News, Mahomes said, “It took everybody to win the game. We’re Super Bowl champs, baby.”
