The NFL playoffs have been wild this season. With there being a twist every step of the way, the conference championship was no different. The Kansas City Chiefs took on the Cincinnati Bengals in a game for the ages. After Patrick Mahomes had a career game in his last playoff game, Joe Burrow completed one of the best comebacks against him this time around. However, it seems he even has basketball potential as he once demanded to be on a team with LeBron James.
Back in 2020, Burrow told a reporter he could walk into the NBA and make a name for himself in no time.

Burrow has become one of the biggest personalities in the NFL. He is the main reason for the Bengal’s success as the 25-year-old QB went shattering records this season. But while he is one of the NFL’s biggest stars, he feels it would be the same in the NBA.
Burrow wanted to team up with LeBron James
Burrow turned heads after he completed one of the best comebacks in the NFL. However, he came in as a two-sport athlete. Having played basketball in high school, the question of him playing in the NBA naturally arose and his response had everyone in shock. Burrow said he could put up 12 to 15 points per night easily. But there was one condition: he had to be on a team with LeBron James or Chris Paul.
He said, “I could spot up in the corner and get 12 to 15, make a couple threes. You gotta put me on a team with, like, LeBron or Chris Paul or someone and I can just spot up in the corner and let them go to work and kick it to me, though.”

While there is no clarity on how a LeBron James and Burrow duo would work in the NBA, this confidence is what has helped the 25-year-old achieve a lot, especially against the Chiefs. He completed a miracle comeback to take the Bengals to their first Super Bowl appearance in 33 years. The QB took out the best in Patrick Mahomes as he rallied an 18 point comeback.
After an abysmal first half, Burrow went to work in the second half of the game. After scoring 21 unanswered points, the Bengals forced overtime. Despite losing the toss, an interception gave them back the ball. From there on, rookie Evan McPherson knocked in a 52 yards field goal to send the Bengals to the Super Bowl.
