The Super Bowl LVII is only about two weeks away and football fans couldn’t be more excited. The NFL conference championship games are all set to take place on January 29 and the speculations on the possible Super Bowl contenders are endless. Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant recently shared his predictions in the latest episode of his podcast and managed to set off quite a significant number of NFL fans with his opinions.

The San Francisco 49ers will be up against the Philadelphia Eagles resulting in a face-off between Brock Purdy and Jalen Hurts. Whereas, Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs will take on Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals.

Kevin Durant receives mixed reactions from fans

The teaser from the upcoming episode of The ETCs with Kevin Durant?podcast was just dropped and it has already stirred a debate among Twitterati. The short clip showed co-host Eddie Gonzalez and Kevin Durant discussing the upcoming Super Bowl and who the latter thought would compete for the championship title. The 2x NBA champion did not hesitate before stating that he is rooting for a Super Bowl game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Cincinnati Bengals.

“I got Joe Burrow, the best quarterback in the league. I’m going Burrow and Purdy. I can’t take the Eagles,” KD told Gonzalez.

After Gonzalez commented that the 49ers vs Bengals game would be ‘painful football’, Durant replied that he can’t wait to watch the playoffs. Furthermore, the 13x NBA All-Star added that he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys lose.?While many agreed with KD’s Super Bowl predictions, others showed a significant difference in opinions. Durant misses the game against the 76ers

Kevin Durant has missed about eight games to date since he suffered from an MCL sprain on January 8 during the game against the Miami Heat. While there have been reports of his impending return to the court, no confirmed date has been set yet. The Brooklyn Nets recently lost to the Philadelphia 76ers by 137-133 which bought the tally to 29-18.
