Days after the controversial after-game incident against the Indiana Pacers, the Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant fell under the NFL legend Shannon Sharpe’s radar. Morant made it to the headlines after the league banned Morant’s friend from the Grizzlies’ home games for a year after he trained a red laser at the Pacers team from a slow-moving SUV. Moreover, the media also spotted the dunk star inside the vehicle. However, Morant’s tweet after the ban triggered a harsh reaction from the NFL legend.

According to The Atheltic, apart from training the laser, the Grizzlies star’s friends aggressively confronted the Pacers team after the game. After the ban on Morant’s friend, the Memphis side’s coach, Taylor Jenkins, addressed the media regarding the issue. Reacting to the press meet, Morant tweeted, “Did a investigation seen they were cappin. Still let a article come out to paint this negative image on me & my fam & banned my brother from home games for a year. unbelievable.” Following his tweet, the Denver Broncos legend ripped apart the NBA star on Live TV.

Shannon Sharpe rips apart Ja Morant

In the recent episode of Undisputed on Fox Sports, NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe called out Ja Morant for posing as a gangster. Reacting to the developments of the after-game incidents against the Pacers, Sharpe questioned Morant for surrounding himself with a questionable crowd even after lifting his family from a tough situation. He further aggressively added, “You got a $200 million contract and you want people in the NBA to think you’re hood, to think you gangster.”

The NFL legend later pointed out, “Bruh, you not hard. That’s not your life.” Later, Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal shared the video clip of the interview on his story. 

However, the league hasn’t provided any official announcement after Morant’s tweet.

Shannon Sharpe’s heated argument with Ja Morant’s father 

During the Lakers’ home game against the Grizzlies on Jan 21, Shannon Sharpe engaged in a heated argument with Ja Morant’s father, Tee Morant, and several Grizzlies players after the half-time buzzer. The arena officials immediately barged in to separate the parties and escorted Sharpe out of the scene. Eventually, Sharpe hugged it out with Tee Morant after the third quarter.
