Furthermore, he said that MJ got offended by what he said, which ended their friendship. Chuck confessed he loved Jordan like a brother. However, neither has tried to talk to one another because of their stubborn nature. After the episode was released, fans came forth to extend their support to the 11x NBA All-Star.
Fans take their stance on the Charles Barkley-Michael Jordan feud
Michael Jordan acquired majority shares of the Charlotte Hornets in 2010 and effectively became the owner. About two years later, Charles Barkley publicly questioned MJ’s authority on ‘The Waddle & Silvy Show’. Chuck stated Jordan didn’t have the right people around him. Given that the Hornets had the worst record at 4-29, Barkley commented MJ did not do a good job.
“I think the biggest problem has been I don?t know if he has hired enough people around him who he will listen to,” said Barkley during the ESPN interview.
After Barkley poured his heart out on Tom Brady’s podcast, NBA Twitter jumped to his defense. Fans mostly felt that the Chicago Bulls were too sensitive. Let’s take a look at some of the tweets.
MJ is legendarily sensitive. Would have been interesting if he had played during the social media era.

Mike needed to straighten up. I rather have a friend like Chuck who will tell it like it is than having everyone kissing up to me.

Well Mike has the world's thinnest skin and gets offended about everything, man's pride is more fragile than tissue paper. Great ball player, absolute mess of a person

Mike just got mad at the truth

He spoke the truth. He’s a terrible GM (kwame brown and Adam Morrison!) and a terrible owner. Jordan is soft and can’t take criticism.

Another example of Jordan NOT able to play in this era. He’s soft, physically, mentally. He barely made it through the media when he was playing.

Barkley and Jordan had been known to be great friends during their peak in the league. The duo would often get together for an outing or a game of golf in between the games. While both had faced each other on the court several times, it never put a strain on their relationship. Wonder when the two former ‘brothers’ will resolve their issues.
