With the Super Bowl right around the corner, football fans have started to pick their favorites for Super Bowl 2023. After a dramatic finish to the AFC and NFC Championship games, the Kansas City Chief and the Philadelphia Eagles have made their way to the Super Bowl 2023. NBA legend Charles Barkley recently picked his favorite in a recent interview. Notably, the 11x NBA All-Star heavily cashed in during 2018 after placing a bet on the Eagles.
Barkley once had gotten into trouble with the NBA for placing bets with the players. Moreover, the Philadelphia 76ers’ star had his fair share of gambling issues during his NBA career. He opened up several times about the millions he had lost due to his gambling habits.
Charles Barkley picks his Super Bowl favorite

In a recent episode of the Dan Patrick Show, Patrick asked Charles Barkley if he had placed a bet for the upcoming Super Bowl Championship game. Barkley instantly replied, “Oh! Eagles all the way, brother Eagles all the way.” Patrick further asked Chuck if the Eagles’ point spread would alter his opinion, but the former Sixers star stood his ground. He said, “I think they’re gonna win no matter what you know but you know they’ve been my team for a long time, and uh man they’ve been the best team all year.”
The host further asked Chuck about the Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and the 1993 MVP revealed that he knows Hurts a little bit. Barkley said, “He’s a great kid, shout out to him…he’s really improved, and he’s published as a quarterback, I cannot wait for the Super Bowl.” He also stressed that he’s aware of Hurts since his college days at Alabama University.

Chuck made huge gains with the Eagles’ victory in 2018
During an episode of the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Barkley revealed the amount he won after the Eagles’ victory over the New England Patriots in 2018. Jimmy had asked Chuck how much he earned after placing a bet on the Philadelphia side. He replied, “In Alabama, it’d buy a big condo…In L.A., a small guest house.” Though he didn’t reveal the exact figures, it can be assumed that winning about crosses the six-figure mark.
