Much Taller Than the Average NFL Player, Rob Gronkowski Still Looks Tiny Next to 7 ft Shaquille O?Neal

NFL legend, Rob Gronkowski, noted for his years with the New England Patriots, was one of the tallest players in NFL history. He is quite taller than the average NFL player. However, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and his massive stature are just on another level. Lately, the former Los Angeles Lakers superstar made the former Patriots tight end look quite small beside him.

Shaq is a freak of nature. The former Lakers star is over 7 ft tall and weighs around 325 pounds. Over the years, he has made a plethora of notable people and players look tiny in front of him. Recently, the four-time Super Bowl winner joined the long list.

Gronkowski has a massive height of 6 feet 6 inches, whereas the average NFL player’s height is close to 6 feet 2 inches. Therefore, naturally, he is much taller than most NFL players. However, despite having such great stature, the former Patriots star looked quite small beside the Big Diesel during a recent meet-up.

Shaq shared a photo with Gronkowski and a few others on his Instagram handle yesterday on the occasion of the Super Bowl celebrations ahead. In the photo, the now 33-year-old was seen standing beside the former Lakers star.? The Big Diesel was seen towering over everyone present in the frame, including the four-time Super Bowl winner.

In the above photo, the difference in their height is quite prominent. Despite being 6’6, the 33-year-old could only reach up to right around Shaq’s chin. In other words, the former Lakers star towered over him by a heavy margin, by 6 inches to be exact.

Shaq once broke the basketball rim while competing against the Gronk

Back in 2020, both Shaq and the Gronk competed in a virtual game of HORSE to benefit social justice charities. However, the game ended prematurely when the Big Diesel showcased his power on the court. In other words, the former Lakers star broke the rim after he made a one-hand slam dunk.

Interestingly, as soon as Shaq ripped the rim off, he started showing off his strength while the four-time Super Bowl winner witnessed the entire scenario.
