NFL legend and Undisputed Co-Host Shannon Sharpe did not mince his words after the Lakers’ embarrassing loss against the Grizzlies. He wasn’t impressed with the teammates of LeBron James as the starters combined for 22 points on 8-39 shooting from the field. The Lakers have struggled to find any kind of consistency this season. LeBron James has been exceptional but barring him, no other player has stepped up. Russell Westbrook has not lived up to the hype and Anthony Davis has been injured half of the time. With players being in and out, the Lakers have struggled to create any chemistry and have still not figured out their best 5 yet. They have not figured out a way to defend as a team and they are atrocious against teams with records above .500.
The only bright spot for the Lakers has been the play of LeBron James. The year 19 veteran has been playing at an MVP level all season and he is carrying the Lakers on a nightly basis. LeBron has been averaging 28.9 points (which is second in the league), 7.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists while shooting nearly 53% from the field. He has had more 30 point games than anyone in the league and most times, he is the one who keeps them relevant.

Shannon Sharpe wasn’t pleased with the Lakers’ performance against the Grizzlies. He stated “They’re not a good team right now. LeBron is back in his Cleveland days in the first time around in Cleveland, because the second time around he did have Kyrie, He did have Kevin Love. But he’s Cleveland first time around. That’s what this [Lakers] roster is.”
