On Sunday, Dak Prescott-led Dallas Cowboys lost against the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the 2022-23 NFL playoffs.  On top of that, recently Prescott broke up with his girlfriend. In light of this, NBA legend and divorced from his ex-wife Shaunie Henderson, Shaquille O’Neal, stood beside the Cowboys’ 29-year-old quarterback.

Shaq is a huge fan of the Cowboys. There are several instances where the four-time champion showcased his love and support for his favorite team. Recently, the Big Diesel stood up once again to support his favorite team and its cornerstone player.

In one of the latest episodes of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, Shaq empathized with Prescott. During the podcast, the now 50-year-old said, “I know exactly what Dak is going through. Where you’re the guy, you’re always expected to win.”

Subsequently, the 15x All-Star recalled a few things he faced while playing for the Lakers. He said, “I could remember in like early LA…, you’re expected to win every year. And we get swept, on the way out, I will see the faces of the fans. It will be the ones very disappointed….I understand what he(Prescott) is going through, and for 4 years in a row, I went through that…”

The four-time champion continued, “So he(Prescott) is in a tough position. When you play for an Americas team, you’re always expected to win, you’re always expected to play at a high level…”  However, the Big Diesel ended by saying, “I am with the Cowboys forever. So go on Spice(Adams, one of the co-hosts) to what you gotta do, say what you gotta say, I ain’t going nowhere.

In other words, the 50-year-old understood the situation Prescott is going through. Apart from that he also didn’t hold back to showcase his love for his favorite team despite the loss.

On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys experienced a 19-12 loss against the San Francisco 49ers. This was the third time he took the Cowboys to the divisional round since he joined them in 2016. However, for the third time, the 29-year-old’s season ended there. In 2022, the same 49ers ended his Super Bowl dream after making him taste a defeat in the wild-card round. Incidentally, more than 25 years have passed since the Big Diesel’s favorite team won the coveted Super Bowl.
