Former NBA star gets trolled after claiming that he saved Skip Bayless from assault

The entire Skip Bayless saga had barely began to cool down when former NBA star Matt Barnes decided to drop yet another bomb. As per a deleted tweet previously uploaded by Barnes, the 2017 NBA champion claimed that he had saved Bayless from getting beaten up on two different occasions. Barnes had released the video as a response to Bayless’ comments where he talked about the aforementioned incident.

Barnes said, “I know personally, personally that I?ve had to diffuse two situations. One with a coach, and one with an NBA player. They wanted to f*ck Skip up. Personally I?ve had to do it. One was this year, one was last year. Personally I had to reach out to Unc (Shannon Sharpe) and set up a conversation for people who wanted to f*ck? Skip up. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed, but it?s just gone too far in my opinion.”

Bayless apologizes for his tweet

The game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals was suspended after Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed mid-game on the field due to cardiac arrest. While the sports world commended the NFL for prioritizing their players’ health, Undisputed show host Skip Bayless had a whole other opinion.

Bayless’ tweet read, “no doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game – but how? This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome ? which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”
