Michael Jordan‘s fascinating legacy and his stint with the Chicago Bulls can be considered a rare occurrence that the league has witnessed only a couple of times. However, the Charlotte Hornets have time and again failed to meet the expectations that come with being the team of one of the best players in the NBA. On top of that, Jordan’s franchise found itself in a difficult situation when one of its players got involved in a huge controversy. Several months after facing an investigation, the Hornets player seems to have plans of making a comeback.
The 2022-23 season has been terrible for the Hornets so far. Much to fans’ dismay, the team is currently counted among the bottom five teams in the league. The Charlotte Hornets have lost more games than they have won and currently are the No. 14 seed in the Eastern Conference much to Jordan’s dismay.

In June 2022, 24-year-old NBA star Miles Bridges found himself in a pickle when his former partner accused him of inflicting bodily harm. Bridges allegedly assaulted Johnson in presence of their two children. Consequently, the LAPD charged him with domestic violence and child abuse. Bridges pleaded guilty to the charges and he was released with a probation period of three years. Several days after the arrest, the Hornets made the decision of pulling the qualifying offer to make Bridges a free agent.

It has been over seven months since the incident created a stir in the league and Bridges was recently spotted at an NCAA tournament. The 2016 McDonald’s All-American attended the game between Michigan State and No. 17 Indiana held on February 21.
Larry Lage of The Associated Press caught up to Bridges, who happens to be a Michigan State alumna, during the halftime and conducted a brief interview. Bridges immediately gained the media’s attention when he told AP, “It?s been a long process. I might be back in March.”
Twitterati’s reaction to the Bridges’ news
The Charlotte Hornets had previously shown reluctance to let go of Miles Bridges despite all the legal trouble he would bring. As of now, there is no saying if Bridges will make a comeback as a Hornet or will have to find a new home. NBA fans were rather perplexed about Bridges’ possible return and gave several mixed reactions.
