Irving helped out Los Angeles Lakers assistant coach, Phil Handy at his ‘futureofbasketballisfemale’ training camp. In the video posted on Twitter, Irving helped Handy in teaching the girls how to attack a defender. It is a very helpful clip for anyone who wants to be a basketball player.
Consequently, a couple of girls even showcased what they had learned from Kyrie Irving. Handy and Irving have always had a great relationship and Irving acknowledges Handy’s influence on his game. Moreover, the duo works out together during the off-season regularly.

Handy is a well-known player development trainer in the NBA. He previously worked with Irving during their Cleveland Cavaliers days. He is a three-time NBA champion and has been a major factor in improving the games of many players, including Irving. Handy has been with the Lakers since 2019.
While the NBA world is busy discussing Irving’s future, he has been focused on what’s more important. It is great to see NBA superstars helping out girls in improving their basketball skills at a young age. Eventually, this will only help the future of women’s basketball.
