New York has had a rocky relationship with Trae Young. Ice Trae had an infamous run with the New York Knicks in the playoffs last season. Notably, Atlanta Hawks were the underdogs last season and Trae for the most part was their gloriuous villain.

The Hawks faced the Knicks in the first round of the Eastern Conference. Trae Young led his team to an unbelievable victory against the Knicks and also drew enough bad blood.

Knicks were on fire in the regular season as the team was flourishing under the leadership of Julius Randle. However, they choked in the playoffs and lost 4-1 to the Hawks.

The Knicks faced the Oklahoma City Thunder today, in what turned out to be an amazing match-up. It was an extremely close game. However, Thunder managed to steal away the win. The OKC won by a mere four points and the final score stood at 123-127.

Trae Young took to twitter to appreciate the young talent on the Thunder Roster. Josh Giddey and Tre Mann turned up in the game today as they put up exceptional scoring performances.

The Knicks are supposed to be a seasoned veteran team with experienced players on their roster. They have players like Julius Randle, Derrick Rose, Evan Fournier and others. Losing to a team of rookies has got to be disrespectful to a certain extent. Trae Young thus made the subtle stab (which he seldom does against other teams) at the Knicks.

The OKC Thunder rookies deserved that praise from Trae Young

Josh Giddey is having an exceptional rookie season. He is one of the most important players on the Thunder roster right now. He contributes in every single game and impacts the team in a positive way. Giddey is averaging 12.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists. Additionally, he is one of the most promising young guards in the league right now.

Josh managed to scored a triple double today and lead his team to a victory. He had 28 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Not a lot of rookies play this well, which proves he truly has a ton of potential.

Tre Mann scored 30 points today along with 2 rebounds and 1 assist. He is averaging 8.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1 assist per game. His contribution is bound to increase once he starts getting more time on the court.
