The Blazers vs Knicks matchup was absolutely stunning, and the two sides produced a sensational game in Portland. Moreover, the two point guards, Damian Lillard and Immanuel Quickley, played incredibly well in the fixture.
Dame led the Blazers to a narrow victory by scoring 39 points. On the other hand, the 25th overall-pick in the 2020 NBA draft, Quickley, had a career game. He scored 21 of his 31 points in the fourth quarter. Many believe that he is the biggest steal from this draft class and can become a solid player for the Knicks one day.

Following the scoring outburst from the Knicks rookie, Quickley revealed that he got a chance to connect with Lillard over text messages. Quickley stated, “I got to text Dame after the game. Johnnie Bryant, he’s really close with him so he put me on. But Steph [Curry], I didn’t get the chance to talk to yet. Hopefully, I get the chance to pick his brain next time they come to Madison Square.”

Zach Braziller of the NY Post wrote a report about Quickley’s comments about his conversation with the Blazers superstar Damian Lillard where Quickley said:

Then really just giving me advice on obviously the point guard position, but what it takes to win in this league, what it takes to help your team win, how to bounce back from good games, bad games, staying even-keeled throughout the whole season.”
