The Lakers have been a fan target all season long. Acquiring a barrage of losses hasn’t helped their case. However, going against the Toronto Raptors, the purple and gold got their revenge. In addition, Russell Westbrook played a major role in the overtime thriller. Likewise, fans were left hopeful with the recent performance of their team.
All season long, the Lakers have had their hands full with injuries. Currently, their big star Anthony Davis is also sidelined because of an injury. This has caused the Lakers to constantly make changes in their lineups. While most have failed, it seems a new look has come up as their missing piece.

Lakers Twitter goes mental after win
A couple of games ago, the Raptors broke through the Lake show. They humiliated the LeBron James led team and made things worse for them. However, this time the Lakers came prepared and determined. They never lost a step and kept the tempo. While it looked like the Lakers were going to suffer another loss, Russell Westbrook turned back the clock and came in clutch.
Both James and Westbrook showed off their superstar skill and came in big in the Lakers’ rare win this season. After a long, upsetting season, Westbrook bounced back in the best way possible.
New season starts NOW.

Unsurprisingly, the King spearheaded the Lakers. He accumulated 36 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in a clutch display. Westbrook had himself a triple-double and even hit a game-tying three to force overtime. Wenyen Gabriel made his first start and was a big factor, scoring 17 points on 7-8 shooting.
The Toronto Raptors saw their rookie have yet another stellar game. Scottie Barnes racked up 31 points, 17 rebounds, and 6 assists and his monster night. Gary Trent Jr. and Fred VanVleet combined for 43 points in the loss. Spicy P also added 17 as the starters impressed. While the purple and gold did get the win, the Raptors had some big upsides to their game.
