Los Angeles Lakers star Russell Westbrook has had countless rivalries with different players in the league over the years. One such player with whom he had a rivalry in the past, is currently his teammate with the Lakers. Last night, the said former rival-turned-teammate could be seen hyping up Russ’ dance moves prior to the Lakers game against the Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile, this action elicited the attention of the fans and made them reflect adversely on the affair on social media.

The former rival-cum-teammate who was spotted hyping up Westbrook’s moves was none other than Lakers guard Patrick Beverley. Beverly and Russ were both rivals and the tussle between the them started back in 2013 and continued till 2019. However, the conflict between the two seemed to have been resolved since the 6’2 guard joined the Lakers last year. In fact, the two appear to be pretty close and supportive as teammates right now.

Prior to the legendary matchup between the Lakers and the Nets, Beverley could be seen hyping up Westbrook’s moves courtside on the Lakers’ bench. At first, the nine-time All-Star was showing off his dance moves while listening to a song, sitting down on the bench. Soon, Beverley joined him and started vibing to the tune. Shortly after that, the Lakers guard started cheering for Russ, saying, “Go Russ, Go Russ”.?

Both the Lakers stars were clearly having a lot of fun while vibing to the song. Interestingly, the way they were vibing, it would be impossible for anyone to believe that they were long-time rivals once in the past.

Fans started to comment on Twitter as soon as they saw the clip, chiming in with their varied opinions. Most of the fans didn’t quite like the way they were dancing prior to the game. One fan even commented whether dancing would bring a championship to LA. However, a few users were glad that they having fun together. Overall, the fans were seemingly disappointed with the Lakers stars enjoying themselves amidst an underwhelming season.

Meanwhile, the Lakers lost their second game in a row yesterday in the absence of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They lost against the Nets by a wide margin(121-104). Following last night’s game, the Lakers currently sit in the 13th position in the Western Conference table. With playoff hopes slowly dwindling, it’s no surprise that Lakers fans didn’t seem to appreciate Westbrook’s dance moves.
