LeBron James has repeatedly proved why he is considered as one of the GOATs. For most people, it is either Michael Jordan or him. Even being in this debate proves LeBron James’ worth more than anything else.
It was just another day in the office for the ‘King’ as he was chasing another record. Going into the game against the Washington Wizards, LeBron was 20 points away from having the 2nd most points in NBA history. He reached the historic feat to surpass Karl Malone on the list for most points.

Larry Bird keeps LeBron James in his highest praise
A few years back, Larry Bird was a part of the Indiana Pacers contingent. During his time there, he said something about the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron, which shows that he has always kept James in the highest regard.
Larry Bird, when working for Pacers, refused to trade for any of LeBron’s teammates on the Cavs:
“I said ‘you don’t understand son. Them guys playing with LeBron James look a whole lot better than what they really are.'”

Having coached them from 1997 to 2000, Larry is an important part of the franchise’s history. The team reached the Eastern Conference Finals in his first season as a coach and pushed the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls to seven games. He also won the NBA Coach of the Year for his efforts.
