LSU Tigers star Angel Reese is the current talk of the town and not for one but several reasons. After stirring controversy with her John Cena celebratory gesture, the 20-year-old National champion has hit the headlines for yet another bold take on a situation. While her previous incident involved her NCAA Finals opponent Caitlin Clark, this time it was FLOTUS Jill Biden, who found herself on the receiving end of Reese’s blunt rejection.
Following the victory of the LSU Tigers, First Lady Jill Biden made a suggestion that did not sit well with the champions. It is a tradition for the NCAA champions alone to be invited to the White House. However, the FLOTUS’ abrupt suggestion to make the change was not something that the Tigers star was willing to accept.

After First Lady Jill Biden made the public suggestion, Angel Reese pushed back by retweeting an article with a caption that read, “A JOKE.” Following that, Biden’s press secretary Vanessa Valdivia attempted to clarify the matter with a tweet where she stated that the suggestion was made to ‘applaud the historic game and all women athletes’.
Valdivia added that she was nevertheless looking forward to celebrating the NCAA victory along with the Tigers. During the latest episode of I Am Athlete, Reese revealed that the team is yet to decide if they are going to the White House. When co-host Ashley Nicole Moss asked how she felt about the entire situation, she had a stunning response.
The Tigers’ star forward said, “I just know if the roles were reversed, they wouldn’t be the same. If we were to lose, we would not be getting invited to the White House.
Furthermore, she added, “We made a lot of phone calls and that’s why she wants to come out and apologize. But the same time, I’m not gonna lie to you, I don’t accept that apology because of, you said what you said. I mean, I said what I said. And like, you can’t go back on certain things that you say. You felt like they should’ve came because of sportsmanship. They can have that spotlight. We’ll go to the Obamas. Imma see Michelle, Imma see Barack.”
