March Madness has officially come to an end with the LSU Tigers lifting their first-ever NCAA trophy in the school’s history. The team went up against the Iowa Hawkeyes who were led by the National Player of the Year Caitlin Clark in the Final after previously defeating Virginia Tech in the Final Four. Despite Clark’s 30-point performance, LSU beat Iowa by 102-85 on Sunday. Shortly after the win, Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson took to Twitter to extend his congratulations to the new champions and gave his flowers to one particular NCAA star who, according to him, was the best player in the game.
Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark undoubtedly gave outstanding performances in their previous two games. The 21-year-old rising star led her team to the Final Four for the first time in 30 years while having a 41-point performance in two consecutive games. She capped off her historic tournament with 30 points.

The WNBA world heavily disagreed with Magic’s tweet as they called out Mulkey for her antics during the game and for her past comments. Mulkey could be found shouting instructions from inside the court. Moreover, she even bumped into the ref at one point, but nothing was given against her. This, on top of the controversial in-game calls, fans were not best pleased.
