One more active player has come out to condemn his actions. A New Orleans Pelicans player, who also happens to be the President of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) finally broke his silence.

Pelicans’ guard CJ McCollum said that the whole socio-political situation that has transpired in the NBA thanks to Kyrie Irving was a teachable moment. Following the team’s loss to the Atlanta Hawks, McCollum acknowledged Irving’s recent apology.

“He’s displayed empathy now. I think this is a learning experience in which I don’t think he understood the magnitude of the movie because he didn’t watch it,”?said McCollum. He also stated that the Nets’ player didn’t understand the magnitude of his actions.
