The 2022-2023 NBA season is on the way with its preseason games. And one of the games that were a must-watch was the Los Angeles Lakers facing the Golden State Warriors. Some of the starters did not play for both teams but it was still a star-studded matchup from both sides of the team.

LeBron James and Russell Westbrook did not play for the Los Angeles Lakers and Klay Thompson and Draymond Green did not play for the Golden State Warriors. But the players that did make the headlines were Anthony Davis and Stephen Curry.

Anthony Davis with a strong start

Both players had great games in the three quarters that they played. Curry ended the game with 24 points in 25 minutes along with Jordan Poole who contributed 25 points in 23 minutes. But the highlight of the game was Anthony Davis. Davis finished the game with 28 points in 21 minutes.?

Even though players like Kendrick Nunn and Matt Ryan had 21 and 20 points for the game, it was Davis? comeback that fans were riled up for. AD wasn?t the only player to make a comeback during the preseason game. Golden State Warriors center James Wiseman also played in the preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing the entirety of the 2021-2022 NBA season due to injuries.

Anthony Davis too had been riddled with injuries these past few seasons, only playing 36 games in the 2020-2021 season and 40 games in the 2021-2022 NBA season. So fans were quite excited to see AD make a comeback in the preseason game.

And if you think about it, he isn?t wrong. Davis is a proven scorer, defender, and rebounder. He can be nearly unstoppable on any given night, provided he is healthy.

The Los Angeles Lakers came on top as they defeated the Golden State Warriors in a close 124-121 game. Despite only playing three quarters, Davis had an excellent game. He finished the game with 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. And that was more than enough to get the fans riled up for what?s in store for the Lakers and what Davis will be bringing this upcoming season.
