The video which was made public by TMZ Sports shows the duo on the court during a practice session. Green is seen to be approaching Poole, who pushes him away. The next second, Green punches Poole in the face, knocking him to the ground. Immediately, other teammates and staff members rushed to separate the pair.

The reason behind the punch is not known. But fans have assumed tensions among the players could possibly be regarding contract extensions. Poole was possibly given prior importance to receive an extension than Green. Poole is reportedly set to receive over $100 million over the length of his new contract with the franchise.

With a salary cap at hand, the Warriors were already in unfamiliar grounds. Their decisions on the futures of Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green are still pending. More so, after the incident, Green could potentially look at a possible trade-off.

Poole has certainly become a reliable player over the years and has constantly improved. Coupled with the altercation, the contract negotiations could potentially favor Poole in lengthening his contract.
