Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is definitely sleek on the hardwood but perhaps not as much in the online world. King James recently deleted one of his tweets involving the Lakers. However, NBA fans were quick enough to retrieve screengrabs of the now-deleted tweet. Moreover, NBA Twitter swarmed in as the deleted tweet sent mixed signals to Lakers fans.

LeBron James previously played for the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat before representing the Lakers. In his long illustrious career so far, James has won four championships. In that time, James has only missed reaching the playoffs on four occasions.

Is LeBron James doubtful about the Lakers?

Although LeBron James and the Lakers won the 2019-20 NBA championship, they failed to even qualify for the play-in tournament in the following season. Disappointed with the performance, LeBron James tweeted ahead of the 2021-22 post-season, “I can/will NOT miss the post season again for my career! This s**t HURT. ok back to watching these games.” The tweet suggested that James was confident about the Lakers’ performances in the following season. However, he has since deleted the tweet in the wake of how the Lakers have struggled to perform so far this season.

Even though James deleted the tweet, the screengrabs were already doing rounds on Twitter. However, fans hovered over the tweet and questioned James’ faith in the lakers.

One user said, “He really got bullied into deleting his tweet lmao.” A lot of fans questioned James’ decision to sign a new contract with the Lakers. Notably, the 18-time All-Star has his current contract active until the 2024-25 season.

The Lakers are certainly having a tough outing so far this season with injury concerns and poor performances strife throughout, while the playoffs spot is possibly slowly slipping away. The Lakers are currently in 13th place in the Western Conference with a 14-20 record so far.

More trouble for the Lakers

As per CBS Sports, Lakers center Anthony Davis is indefinitely out for the foreseeable future after suffering yet another injury. Davis has played a major role this season despite the team’s recent poor run. He has averaged 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in his 25 games so far this season. His absence has been especially tough, as the Lakers have lost four out of five games after his injury.
