The Warriors were down two going into the second half, but they would dominate in the third to go up by 12, as the game then seemed to be in the Dubs’ hands. But the Celtics weren’t going to give up so easily, as they outscored the Warriors 40-16 in the fourth, taking the game by 12 points.
The best scorer on the floor, Steph Curry did all that he could.

Not only that but Curry had 21 points in the first quarter itself. The scoring drought from Steph did affect the team even though Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson tried to balance it out. Celtics’ Brown and Horford finished the game with 50 combined points. Whereas Steph and Wiggins combined for 54 points.
It was clear in this game that it was all about the momentum that had shifted in the Celtics’ favor. Apart from a comeback from Boston, both teams set an NBA record for most three-pointers combined.

The Celtics have shown their ultimate form in Game 1 as they lead 1-0 in the Finals. In the last five Finals, the last time the Dubs lost Game 1 was versus the Toronto Raptors, the series where they’d go home after six games. It will be interesting to see if the Warriors bounce back in the Finals as all eyes are now on Game 2.
