Both the teams of LA have had their fair share of problems this season. For the clippers, losing out on both their stars cost them big. However, the forces have held down the fort well without Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. With reports running wild of a Kawhi return during the postseason, the NBA wasn’t expecting much with his history of injuries. However, it seems the Klaw gave fans a surprise no one saw coming.

Last season, the Clippers were rolling in the playoffs with Kawhi and PG13 steering the ship. In particular, Leonard was on fire for the entire playoffs. He was putting up 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Unfortunately, his journey was cut short after he suffered an ACL injury in the series against the Utah Jazz. That caused him to miss out on the remainder of the playoffs. Moreover, he is yet to play a signal game this season.

While his injury history shows him taking all the time to heal up, this time around, things look different. Signs are pointing towards a quick recovery for Leonard as he was putting up some shots during the shoot-around.

Kawhi Leonard shocks the NBA world

After suffering an ACL injury, players generally take time to make a return. With the initial reports, Leonard was most likely to miss the entire season. However, with time, things started looking encouraging, as his rehab was going great. With rumors of him returning during playoff time running hot, Kawhi looks to be right on schedule. He gave NBA fans a major shock as he participated in a shooting drill prior to the Clippers taking on the Golden State Warriors.

Kawhi isn’t a man of many words. Hence, it is impossible to have any updates on his rehab situation. But with the current events, the Klaw is looking to prepare for the playoffs and go into battle. The Clippers have thoroughly impressed this season going in with Kawhi and George for the most part of the season. They have bested their rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers with a record of 34-32.

Coming in just weeks off playoff time, this is exciting news for the Clippers. Kawhi will take some time to settle in, but his presence alone changes the entire look of the team. Leonard will quickly take hold of the main offensive front for the Clippers. His mid-range art and brute offense are tough to stop for even the toughest defenders in the league. On the other hand, as one of the best two-way players in the league, his defensive impact can’t be ignored. In addition, Reggie Jackson, Marcus Morris and Mann come in as great support players to the Klaw.

When fully healthy, Leonard is a top player in the NBA without a doubt. Hence, for the Clippers to see him get on the court with playoffs just around the corner is game-changing. If the Klaw is in place for the Clippers, then exciting times lie ahead for the team and the fans alike.
