LeBron James has another NBA record in his name. In the game against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday, LeBron passed Kareem Abdul Jabbar as the all-time leading scorer in NBA History, including playoffs.

LeBron was already the all-time leading scorer in playoff history, passing Michael Jordan back in 2017. He is currently third all-time behind Kareem and Karl Malone in regular-season points. LeBron needed 19 points to pass Kareem in all-time scoring and he passed him in the third quarter of the game. LeBron received a pass from Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook set a screen, which allowed LeBron an open 3-point shot. He nailed it from the left-wing and the arena erupted.
But the game wasn’t stopped to acknowledge the Akron Hammer. When Stephen Curry broke the record for all-time 3 pointers made, the game was stopped for a few mins to commemorate the man. And with all due respect, becoming the leading scorer in NBA history should have deserved a similar kind of applause or perhaps more.
Twitter reacts to NBA not acknowledging LeBron James for becoming the all-time leader
Fans weren’t happy about the fact that LeBron was not given the same respect as Curry. They were furious with the league and Warriors and let them know about it. Here are some of the best reactions:
Just so everyone is aware, Lebron James is 6 points away from scoring more points than any other player in the history of the NBA.
But they stopped everything for Steph’s record…

Why did we go absolutely bonkers for Curry's 3-point record, but I haven't heard a peep about LeBron's all-time scoring mark until tonight

Hold up…. curry breaks 3pt record the game gets stopped and celebration. Lebron breaks ALL TIME scoring record and not even talked about. That is very surprising…

Kareem had held the all time scoring title for longer than Ruth or Maris held the single season home run titles & longer than Aaron held the all time home run title.
It had been considered an unbreakable record.
LeBron just broke it & it was such a fait accompli no one cared.

Steph Curry broke the all-time three point record and the game practically stopped to celebrate him.
LeBron breaks the all-time POINTS record and it seems like no one at Oracle knows and the broadcast doesn’t mention anything? pic.twitter.com/qTXa3cHDbO

LeBron needs 1 point to pass Kareem on the all-time scoring list (regular season and playoffs) and they haven’t mentioned it once 😂😂😂

I feel like the nba ain’t promoting the fact that Lebron is about to be the all time leader in scoring

It’s a huge achievement but for some reason the fact that it’s regular season & playoff points it makes it less meaningful. They better do something when he breaks Kareems record

The NBA did a multi week celebration in anticipation of Steph breaking the all time 3pt record.
LeBron is going to score more points in the NBA than anyone ever has later tonight & nobody has even noticed. Sad!

It looks like Kerr wanna honor Lebron's all time scoring record by not putting Curry in😭

Did LeBron James just break the nba scoring record and nobody batted an eye?

The disrespect lebron gets is INSANE. They made a big deal for weeks leading up to curry breaking the 3pt record. Bron becomes the all time scoring leader and not a peep😭
