Kyrie Irving to join the Houston Rockets?

After the departure of star player James Harden, the Houston Rockets have not really found a replacement for him. While the team tries to build upon the life after Harden, a very unlikely man could be his replacement; Kyrie Irving!

Although nothing between the two parties has been established yet, a former presidential candidate has made a very tempting offer for Irving. According to Ted Cruz, Irving should come to Houston to play for the Rockets in order to get game time. He said, “If Brooklyn won?t let Kyrie play, I?m going to make a pitch to you directly. Kyrie, come to Houston, play for the Rockets. We?ll let you play.

This comes after the New York City mandate that bars unvaccinated athletes to take part in sporting activities. Because of this mandate, the Brooklyn Nets cannot play Irving in home matches.

Despite the shortage of game time, Irving is firing on all cylinders. Moreover, Kevin Durant is back from an injury that makes the Brooklyn Nets even more formidable.

The Nets front office would look to keep Irving in the roster as part of their plans to win an NBA title. Keeping him fit for most of the season will be a monumental task for the staff as Uncle Drew has been injury-prone in recent times. He averages 27.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season.
