Over his illustrious career, James Harden has come up as one of the most prolific scorers of all time. The Beard revolutionized his own game by upgrading his scoring. Likewise, Harden made history tying Reggie Miller on the all-time three-point list. His teammate, Paul Millsap, demanded fans give him the respect he deserves. However, the audience was not for it as they dug into Harden’s way of quitting in tough times.
There is no doubt Harden is one of the league’s best players. He was the sole star on the Rockets for a long time. And When he had the help, he delivered wonders for the teams. However, he has gained a reputation that won’t leave his side anytime soon. When things got tough for the Nets and Rockets, Harden took the approach of getting himself out of the situation.

With Houston, he took a very public approach and made sure he got his way. And once the Nets started struggling, the Beard found his way through to Philadelphia partnering with Joel Embiid. Understandably, for fans, they feel like his game doesn’t deserve the respect because of his attitude.
James Harden is still a villain in fans’ eyes
Recently, James Harden added another milestone in his scoring chapter. He equaled Reggie Miller’s tally on the all-time three-pointers list. The NBA world went crazy and his teammate, Paul Millsap, asked people to give the Beard his respect. However, he didn’t get a favorable response as fans refused to give Harden any respect for quitting on his teams. Millsap believes they should focus on his game before judging his tactics. This got fans even more amped up.
When it comes to his scoring, Harden has never let the fans down. From his time with OKC all the way to Philly, the Beard has elevated his offensive game each step. Moreover, his shooting often goes under the radar as he heads up the ladder as one of the greatest shooters of all time. But, even though he has all the accolades, fans have lost huge respect for the former MVP.

While fans could empathize with Harden for his situation with the Rockets, the same can’t be said about his situation with the Nets. After forming a big 3 with Kyrie and Durant, Harden gave up on his commitment. He joined Brooklyn to bring in a championship, but with things getting tough for him, he went back to his old tactics. He forced his way out of the Nets to team up with MVP favorite, Joel Embiid, in Philadelphia. Unsurprisingly, fans lost major respect for the star and deemed him a quitter.
