Patrick Beverley is one of a kind. After winning the play-in game with the Minnesota Timberwolves and making the playoffs again, Beverly celebrated and the celebrations may have been a little too much. As such, the NBA fined him for that. But Beverly, being Beverly, posted his Venmo QR code so fans can help him pay his fine.
Beverley was fined for trash-talking to the Clippers and that cost him $30,000. The Timberwolves point guard was fined by the league for “egregious use of profanity” in the post-game comments to the press. Beverly was emotional after the Wolves came from behind to win 109-104. And he was heated in the game as he talked trash to his former team. The league felt he crossed a line, and he was fined for that.

Wolves vs Grizzlies
The Wolves passed a huge test just to get into the playoffs. But they have a tougher task on hand as they take on the young and explosive Memphis Grizzlies. This should be an interesting matchup, as both teams rely heavily on athleticism and talent.
Led by a young Ja Morant, the Grizzles have steamrolled through opponents this season as they finished with the NBA’s second-best record (56-26) and they won 19 of the 22 games at the FedExForum. The Grizzlies were one of the three teams to win at least 30 home games.

The regular-season series between the two teams ended with a 2-2 tie. Russell averaging 31 points against the Grizzlies while Morant is averaged 20ppg. 3 of the 4 games have been very close as it was decided by 8 points or lesser. Even though the Wolves are seeded seventh, this should be a tough matchup for the Grizzlies. It should be a fun, physical, and competitive series.
