It has recently come to light that Seth Curry and Andre Drummond could not play in today’s game. This is because their physicals were not completed in time for tip-off. A trade involves physicals and medical check-ups of all players. If that is not done, a trade deal is not considered to be finalized.
Seems like the holdup in getting Drummond and Curry on the court together is that physicals are not yet complete and until they are, the trade is not done. Holdup appears to be Harden.

Recent reports have indicated that it was James Harden‘s physical that had not been completed as part of the trade deal. He was the holdup due to which Curry and Drummond could not join the Brooklyn Nets on the court.
Can’t tell me the timing of this — a half hour after the Nets tipped off — wasn’t on purpose. https://t.co/57Q5TEPD7i

Nevertheless, another report indicates that the physicals have been conducted. This report came half an hour after the Brooklyn Nets vs Miami Heat started. Many Nets fans claimed Harden was causing this holdup and delay. This caused a Twitter meltdown regarding the same.

Fan reactions on Twitter
Fans have speculated that Harden caused the holdup intentionally. The speculation is that he did so to make the Nets lose another game. They have already lost too many games since Kevin Durant has been injured. Moreover, this loss pushes them even further back in the Eastern Conference standings.
Fans are of the opinion that Harden made such a move out of spite and pettiness. They believe that Harden blames Kyrie for the Nets’ unsuccessful playoff run.
Where there’s smoke there fire 90% of the time. He wasn’t gone let Kyrie play with those reinforcements. To me it’s evident he blames the Nets season entirely on Kyrie not getting vaccinated. And is now being petty

Additionally, fans are dissatisfied with the rule that says Seth Curry and Andre Drummond cannot play unless and until James Harden has arrived in Philadelphia and had his medical exam.
Seth Curry and Andre Drummond not being able to play tonight because James Harden hasn’t shown up to Philly yet is a weird rule

Many people on Twitter have expressed their discontent with the Nets in general. They believe with Durant out; the Nets have no chance of winning. This is regardless of whether the new players could play or not.
Stop your crying dork. You were gonna lose your 11th straight regardless https://t.co/HGbbggxXuW

Fans are also joking about how James Harden got the entire team paranoid. Even without being a part of the team anymore. These are just speculations.
Nets fans traumatized lmao. Got ‘em paranoid that James still conspiring against them. Hate to see it https://t.co/64XKvP0ZyB

Fans have also just straight-up abused his personality on Twitter. Many are honestly happy that he has left the franchise.

Fans have hilariously speculated on the possibility that Harden could fail the physicals, consequently, leading to the trade deal falling through. Therefore, Harden’s infamous reputation is being used against him.
Could you imagine if he failed the physical and everyone had to go back hahahaha https://t.co/ROM84PPYXh
