NBA Twitter Accuses Millionaire Rapper Drake of Being a Plastic Fan After the 76ers Demolish His Raptors

With the NBA playoff atmosphere, many celebrities make time to get a glimpse of the action. However, there are some staple faces who are always around. One of them is die-hard Toronto Raptors fan, Drake. He is always present at his team’s playoff matchup to offer his support. However, in the series against the Philadelphia 76ers, the rapper’s image as a fan may have taken a hit as NBA Twitter deemed him a bandwagon fan.

Drake has been very loyal to the city of Toronto. Likewise, he is a supporter of his hometown team in the NBA. Drake’s passion and love for the city and basketball came clear during the Raptors’ championship season back in 2019. However, he also has the habit of friending the best players. Notably, Drake has been spotted hanging out with personalities such as LeBron James and Stephen Curry after games.

During the Raptors-Sixers series, Drake took a particular liking to center Joel Embiid.

Drake can’t choose between the Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers?

The Raptors fans went through major heartbreak as the 76ers blew them out in Game 6 to end their playoff run. Once again, Joel Embiid took the heart of the fans as he dominated in the series-clinching game. With Drake in attendance, he tried to do everything to slow the Sixers down, even trash-talking Tobias Harris. However, the fans called him out for being a bandwagon fan as a couple of games ago he had a laugh with Joel Embiid.

It isn’t new to see Drake hang out with NBA superstars after the game. Notably, even after the Lakers beat the Raptors, Drake hung out with LeBron James. But his behavior does not sit well with the Raptors fans as they think he is a bandwagon fan of the team. While he spoke smack today with his team having the momentum, the Sixers shut down the entire place.

Playing up to his MVP caliber, Embiid went off. The big center exploded with 33 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. After struggling offensively all series, James Harden also got into a groove. The Beard added 22 points to go with 15 assists. Young Tyrese Maxey did not disappoint scoring 25 points while Harris had a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

After the game, even Joel Embiid took a slight dig at Drake and said he is now a Miami fan. While a lot can be said about the music sensation being with superstars, Drake has always been a Raptors fan. And there is no doubt that he will continue to bring the thrill in the coming season as well.
