Last season the Los Angeles Clippers paired up Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in hopes of winning their first title in franchise history. However, the team was eliminated in just the second round of the playoffs. But this season, things are looking good for them.

Paul George, who was severely criticized for his performance last season, is playing at an elite level. In fact, PG is one of the top contenders to become the regular season MVP for the 2020-21 NBA season.

With George’s resurgence, the entire team is looking in great touch. But there is still a place where the team can still improve further. They lack a point guard who can seamlessly facilitate the offense for them.

As stated by Shams, the Clippers and the Knicks are front runners for acquiring the Detroit Pistons’ guard. But do they have the assets to pull of this trade? Let’s take a look at a trade scenario where D-Rose might end up joining the Clippers before the NBA trade deadline.

However, if the former MVP is on a rebuilding Pistons team, who are at the 14th seed in the Eastern Conference. A team like the LA Clippers could use his talents to make a push for the NBA title.

Speaking of that trade, the most likely scenario is that the teams swap Lou Williams and Rose. But this will be a lopsided trade for the Pistons, as they will lose a solid player in return for Williams, who might not re-sign with them.
