The 2021 NBA Draft is less than two days away, and the teams are now bucking up and aiming to brush up their choices for trades and picks in the upcoming event. The Detroit Pistons have the No.1 overall pick, and everything suggests that they will opt for Cade Cunningham. The other franchises have also made moves, and are deciding whether to keep their picks or exchange them. And now, Lakers’ Montrezl Harrell has joined the fray.

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most widely reported teams at the moment. Very few players in the squad have a fully assured spot secured for next year. The owners will be looking to build around LeBron James, and many stars will have to make way for fresh faces.

Lakers journey coming to an end for Montrezl Harrell?

According to HoopsHype, Montrezl Harrell may or may not exercise his player option this summer. The 27-year-old has gained interest from other franchises, and might use his player option for a new experience. If the Lakers center-forward opts out, he will be traded by the Lakers.

Multiple sources have claimed that, now, Harrell and a sum of money, or Harrell and the Lakers’ 22nd overall pick, have also been added as variations of the trade deal. The probability of Harrell leaving to the Kings is increasing, but other teams are also on the lookout.

Will we see Montrezl Harrell joining the Kings camp next year? It cannot be ruled out, especially considering that Richaun Holmes enters free agency very soon. Meanwhile, the Lakers are also discussing the Kuzma deal with the Pacers, which would drop Sacramento out of the entire equation. Nonetheless, if no other options avail, Luke Walton will take Harrell without batting an eyelid.
