The Warriors are starting as the favorites to battle it out against the Grizzlies for the third and final WC play-in game. The winner of this tie will go up against the Utah Jazz in Round 1 of the NBA playoffs 2021.

The Bay Area will witness the home team trying to heal from the wound that the Lakers gave them. So which five names from the GSW roster will hit the court first and open the night at the Chase Center?

Golden State Warriors starting five

The Warriors already had vet Klay Thompson and rookie James Wiseman on their injury list for as long as one can remember. As an update on Kelly Oubre Jr, they will evaluate his wrist health in the coming week if GSW wins tonight.

Lastly, although guard Damion Lee has cleared the NBA’s health protocols, his status is still questionable given his fitness for the game. Hence, Steve Kerr’s side would like to continue with the same effective combination that they worked out against the Lakers.

Warriors starting lineup – Andrew Wiggins (SF), Draymond Green (PF), Kevon Looney (C), Stephen Curry (PG), and Kent Bazemore (SG)

From the bench, the Warriors would again rely on the trio of #3 Jordan Poole, #15 Mychal Mulder, and #95 Juan Toscano-Anderson.

So what are the chances of the Grizzlies?

The Grizzlies are trailing 1-2 against the Warriors in this current season and would enter the game as non-favorites. They have the reigning ROY Ja Morant and a great defensive force in Dillon Brooks, but they’ll have to bring something extra if they’re to win. That extra can be Jonas Valanciunas again putting up a 20-20 double-double or something of that level.

Mostly, if the Warriors can again see the same defensive performance from Draymond Green, they will pick an early lead. Steph Curry would want to recover from what happened against the Lakers and put on a game-winning performance tonight.

So what do you foresee, Warriors vs Jazz or Grizzlies vs Jazz after tonight’s game? Help us know in the comments.
