During the same, O’Neal explains how his MMA training helped him achieve what he wanted and earn accolades in the sport of basketball. Further, he talks about how his skills had plateaued and how MMA training helped him with his 3 rings.
Shaq says, “MMA training is the reason I have three championships in a row. When you get to a certain level, how many jump hook so many free throws…I mean I was gonna run up and down the court. It just wasn’t working so I started the training and work. When I left Miami and got older, I kind of got away from that and I went back to being normal.”
