Dennis Rodman played for some of the best teams in the league and won five championships. However, his role was something that not many players wanted to play. But his impact was immense and very visible. Despite not being a regular starter for the Pistons in his early days, he made it to the NBA All-Defensive First Team five straight years. In the two seasons he started regularly for the Pistons, he won the Defensive Player of the Year award.
Rodman was a solid defender, and he was pivotal to the Pistons and the Bulls in their championship runs. However, there are certain things the Bulls legend did on the court that he might not be very proud of, in hindsight. For example, on one occasion during his time with the Pistons, he accidentally crashed into the stands, injuring a female fan.

Dennis Rodman had a unique personality during his time as a player. Teams needed a player like him to win championships. No wonder he was a part of the golden era at the Pistons as well as at the Bulls.
There is one particular incident that happened during his time in Detroit, when he accidentally crashed into the stands. As a result, a female spectator got injured and had to be awarded compensation for her injuries.
Dennis Rodman crashed into a female spectator leading to $60,000 in compensation
A report from Sports Illustrated focused on Dennis Rodman was released in 1993, after his move to the San Antonio Spurs. The report mentions an incident where Rodman ‘flew into the stands’ with ‘recklessness’ and injured a female spectator. The court authorities reportedly awarded the female fan $60,000 for her injuries.
“Once, at the Silverdome, he flew into the stands after a loose ball with such recklessness—unnecessarily so, as a court would later rule—that he injured a female spectator near courtside,” the report read, “she was subsequently awarded a reported $60,000 for her injuries, which included the loss of several teeth.”
That is one more crazy incident in Rodman’s history books. He joined the Spurs in 1993 and became a part of a strong team. However, the Spurs team was unlucky to have been at the peak Michael Jordan era.
