Recently NBA legend John Salley defended Will Smith by reminding people about Robert Downey Jr’s drug-ridden past. It is evident from what happened after the incident that Smith’s career has been deeply impacted.

During an interview, Salley explained the reason why it will take time for Smith’s condition to resolve. To give an example, he quoted Robert Downey Jr. as saying: “A guy protecting the honor of his female, however, it went about whatever spirit jumped in and jumped out came in at the time it needed to and everything as it is.”

In addition, he talked about how through time, people can improve their actions in order to change. “Robert Downey Jr. got so high that he broke into somebody’s house and was sleeping in the bed like there were three bad wolves. He kept getting in trouble and then one day he decided not to, and then he became Iron Man.”
