Controversy struck NBA legend Michael Jordan in 1993 when a guy named Richard Esquinas alleged that the Bulls superstar gambled and lost huge amounts of money to him. Esquinas claimed Jordan owed him over $1 million after a golf gambling spree and even wrote a book about it. This took the league by storm as MJ was the premier superstar and face of the NBA at the time. NBA officials reportedly had a meeting with Esquinas as well. After the allegations rocked the sports world, the six-time champion sat down for an interview to clear the air.
However, the interview revealed some interesting details about MJ as well. The Chicago Bulls legend sat down with CBS correspondent Connie Chung and discussed a wide variety of topics about his life on and off the court. The interview happened just a few days prior to the death of his father.
